In this series we explore some of the connections between faith and work to seek to live in are more integrated way.

Here are a few key aims we have for studying these materials:

• To understand how God’s purpose for work is tied to his purpose for all of his creation, including his new creation. This more easily grasped in light of God’s kingdom purposes for the world, not solely his salvation purposes (which of course are included within his kingdom purposes).

• To understand ways in which we can both find and lose who we are in our work (so that we help each other find and not lose ourselves): we do this by helping to reframe our thinking in terms of a 'work-rest balance' instead of 'work-life balance'.

• To understand our work beyond (but hopefully including) our jobs, in connection with vocation, and how this carries into the age to come.

• To approach our work as a central aspect of our own discipleship to Jesus, as well of making disciples of Jesus.

• To connect in more meaningful ways what we do in our gatherings as Jesus-followers with the work God has for us in the world.
