JOIN US

We are one church, with different expressions of gathering on Sundays. There are two main gathering types:

  • COMMON WAY gatherings meet in various languages, following a common teaching series at the church's premesis.

  • ALL TOGETHER are all-ages, inter-cultural gatherings with teaching in plain English that is concise and interactive, where children and adults worship and grow together.

GATHERING TYPES

  • ALL TOGETHER

    These are all-age, inter-cultural gatherings, with a simple structure of:

    1. Welcome and songs

    2. Bible Reading and Teaching in plain English that is concise and interactive.

    3. Learning zones, or 'breakout areas':

    Creative: to respond through creative expression,

    Craft: to help visualise the main theme,

    Conversation: to discuss today's teaching with others, and

    Youth: a space for our you to spend time together.

  • COMMON WAY

    Common Way Gatherings meet in various languages, following a common teaching series, at the church's premesis, in homes and online.

    Central Gatherings at 10:30am (20 Park Avenue, Gordon) are;

    English | Chapel
    Cantonese | Hall
    Mandarin | Garden Square

    All of these gatherings are also live-streamed to YouTube to watch from home.

CHILDREN AT GORDON BAPTIST

Children are a vital part of our church community, and we involve them in our programs to provide loving, safe and fun environments in which children can grow and learn more about God.

We take great care to nurture and protect our children. All our leaders (paid and voluntary) involved in the children’s and youth programs hold current Working With Children's Checks with the NSW Government and have undertaken Child Protection and Creating Safe Spaces training provided through the National Council of Churches in Australia within the last three years.

Our All Together (all ages) gatherings provide a space for children and adults to join in worship together.

YOUTH

Our youth meet fortnightly on Friday nights 5:30-8:30pm at 20 Park Avenue, Gordon. There is also a zone in our All Together gatherings on Sunday mornings (9am), for youth to hang out and learn together. Find out more
