The following activities are provided for Young People at High School in Years 7 – 11.

Friday Night

Weekly gatherings held during term time at the church from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  We meet together for a fun and interactive time designed to broaden our understanding of God and to support and encourage one another in following Christ.

The group has selected to give money each week in support of one of Baptist World Aid's projects.

On a number of occasions during the term we go on "social" outings, something like Bowling, Putt Putt Golf or just a dinner somewhere.

Core Groups

Small groups for young people that meet fortnightly during the week for approximately 1hour to study the Bible, pray and encourage one another.  The groups meet at various times and locations, and are mostly age specific with separate groups for boys and girls.

5:30 pm Evening Service

This service is an integral part of our Youth Ministry at Gordon Baptist.  Young people are encouraged to engage and participate in this service with a view to becoming part of the wider congregation at Gordon.

Emerge

Twice per term our young people lead the evening service, there is often a guest speaker on this night. We have dinner together after the service.

The Green Tent

The Green Tent is a week of holiday activities run by the combined local churches in January of each year.  Activities cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 10 and include Bible talks, games, discussion groups and much more.  For further detail, visit http://www.thegreentent.com/.
